Suggested Items to Bring on Your Hunting Trip

Going on your first deer or moose hunt with Maine Deer Hunting? Here’s a helpful checklist to reference for what to bring on your Maine hunt while you prepare.

Hunting License

Non-resident hunting and fishing licenses can be purchased at most sporting goods stores in Maine, i.e. Kittery Trading Post, LL Bean, and at other local stores. For license information, we recommend that you visit the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife website at www.state.me.us/ifw or call 207-287-8000.

Note: you must have a copy of an old hunting license (from any state), or proof you have taken an NRA-certified Hunters Safety Course, to buy a Maine Hunting License. We strongly suggest you purchase your hunting license before you arrive in The Forks.
